On November 11th, 2019 a group from the University of Zakho namely; Dr. Zahid Sami Mohammed-Head of Psychology dept., Mr. Ivan Hasan Murad-Director of Training and Development Centre, Dr. Hariwan Zikri Ibrahim-Head of Mathematics dept./ Faculty of Education, Mr. Khorsheed Mohammed Rasheed-Coordinator of English dept./ Faculty of Humanities, Ms. Kajeen Hussein Karo-Faculty member of Psychology dept., and Mrs. Vaman Ahmed-Coordinator of Psychology dept., held a seminar on the Inclusive and Special Needs Education at the Faculty of Education Hall to a number of lecturers and students from Psychology, Mathematics, and English Departments. The seminar tackled the introduction to both types of Education. It mostly focused on the awareness and the best ways to deal with special needs education and inclusive education pupils.
It is worth mentioning that the group who participated in the recent Summer Conference of the Project " Qualification for Inclusive Education in Iraq" in Oldenburg and Vechta universities in Germany shared their experiences with the attendees on the students of special needs, their rights, and how to accept them in the society as well as how to be cooperatively helpful for providing an educational environment for all of them equally.
At the end of the seminar, the group of the university thanked all the attendees for their presence and eagerness to learn about how to properly deal with those pupils in the future. Besides, the attendees showed their willingness to working cooperatively with the Group to spread the ideology and the awareness of the people about the special needs Education and the Inclusive one.
